City Of Arlington Parks Commison
Heather Watland is a dedicated Parks Commissioner for the City of Arlington. In her role, she has supported the approval of multiple public art installations, advocated for the development of a dog park in Smokey Point, and continues to work towards the modernization of playground equipment at Terrace Park.
Arlington School District Employee
Heather Watland currently works in the Arlington School District as a Paraprofessional in a special education classroom. Her love of all children has lead her to pursue her degree for her Bachelor of Arts, Special Education and Elementary Education (Dual Licensure) at Western Governors University.


Volunteer Experience
Heather Watland is a dedicated community servant. In 2023, she was elected Vice President of the Gleneagle Homeowners Association. She also currently serves as Treasurer for the Citizens Committee for Arlington Public Schools and as Secretary on her children's PTA, supporting efforts to enhance local education.
In addition to her ongoing leadership roles, Heather has participated in a variety of volunteer activities. She has supported A Christmas Wish by helping provide holiday gifts to families in need and has partnered with North County Fire and EMS to collect canned food during the annual Santa Run.
Her continued involvement reflects a deep passion for building a stronger, more connected community.
